Outdoor mishaps, blunders and eyesores. What happens outdoors…stays on WhooKnoo for a really, really long time.

Indoor

Nothing says tacky like 70′s wallpaper and tourist trap tchotchke’s, and we’re on the prowl for the worst of it.

Baby & Kids

We shudder to think what can befall the youngest among us, but sometimes it’s good for a harmless chuckle at their expense.

Pets & Animals

Loyal and loving, most pets are adults at 2 years of age, but they still can’t open a can of food without our help.

The Pros and Cons of Rabbits as Pets

It is an undeniable fact of life that rabbits are one of the most adorable animals that inhabit this planet.  But does that automatically make them good pets?  If you are considering getting one of these furry companions, consider this list of pros and cons.

PROS

  • Rabbits are very tame and very quiet pets.
  • Once your pet rabbit feels comfortable and forms a bond with you and your family, it will be extremely loving and playful.
  • You won’t have to worry about your rabbit very much at all – they are the type of pet that is extremely low maintenance.
  • Large amounts of laughter will be generated because of your pet rabbit’s actions and antics.
  • Surprisingly, it actually is possible to train rabbits to do various sorts of tricks.  Be the first person in your city to have a rabbit is toilet trained!
  • Compared to other types of rodents that people keep as pets, rabbits have a fairly long life span.
  • Rabbits provide a great first-pet experience that can teach youngsters what it means to care for an animal.
  • Keeping your pet rabbit well fed will turn out to be quite inexpensive.

Now on to the not so good side of keeping rabbits as pets…

CONS

  • Rabbits need a very large environment to live in.  This means you will have to purchase a large (and possibly expensive) cage.
  • If they are ever out of their cage, a rabbit needs to be monitored very closely.  It is entirely possible that they will chew on wires and damage your household or themselves.
  • In addition to their chewing, rabbits also have really sharp nails that will need to be trimmed fairly often.
  • There’s no easy way to put this – rabbits are stinky.  If you bring one into your house, be ready to deal with the odors that come with it.

Rabbits are really easy to litter-train and with the right litter they don’t smell too much. It does take a little time to teach them not to bite wires though.
