Outdoor

Outdoor mishaps, blunders and eyesores. What happens outdoors…stays on WhooKnoo for a really, really long time.

Indoor

Nothing says tacky like 70′s wallpaper and tourist trap tchotchke’s, and we’re on the prowl for the worst of it.

Baby & Kids

We shudder to think what can befall the youngest among us, but sometimes it’s good for a harmless chuckle at their expense.

Pets & Animals

Loyal and loving, most pets are adults at 2 years of age, but they still can’t open a can of food without our help.

We’re all for preserving the planet, and you should be too unless you’ve got someplace else to live… Yah, we didn’t think so.

Green Ways to Keep your Pets Flea-Free

Fleas won’t just cause discomfort for your pets – they will also cause problems for the humans living in your household.  The fleas your pet has can easily be transferred to you, resulting in very sore and itchy flea bites.  Chemical flea removers present a health risk to your pet.  This is why it is important to use natural and eco-friendly techniques to rid your pet of fleas.  Here are some bits of advice that will help you succeed in doing so.

  • Bathe your pet weekly – Giving your pet a bath is a really effective way to prevent and get rid of fleas.  Special chemical shampoos aren’t at all necessary for a flea bath to be effective – baby shampoo works just as well.  The proper technique for giving your pet a bath is really just about the same as washing your hair: get the pet wet, lather, rinse and repeat as necessary.  Try to make bath time part of your pet’s normal weekly routine.  Also, try and remember to wash your pet’s bedding as often as you can to prevent flea infestations from developing.
  • Use a flea comb – By combing your pet’s fur with a flea comb, you will safely remove any fleas or flea eggs that are nestled in their fur.  Dip the comb in soapy water and gently work it all across your pet’s coat.  Concentrate especially hard on the neck, belly and hindquarters.  These are all areas where fleas love to hide.  After your pet’s bath is a great time to use a flea comb.
  • Make your own repellant spray – Instead of buying chemical sprays to keep fleas away, simply make your own home made version using natural ingredients!  Try a solution that is one part vinegar or lemon juice to five parts water.  Simply spray your pets with this mixture and voila –  you have just created an eco friendly blend that will help keep fleas away.
