Outdoor

Outdoor mishaps, blunders and eyesores. What happens outdoors…stays on WhooKnoo for a really, really long time.

Indoor

Nothing says tacky like 70′s wallpaper and tourist trap tchotchke’s, and we’re on the prowl for the worst of it.

Baby & Kids

We shudder to think what can befall the youngest among us, but sometimes it’s good for a harmless chuckle at their expense.

Pets & Animals

Loyal and loving, most pets are adults at 2 years of age, but they still can’t open a can of food without our help.

Go Green

We’re all for preserving the planet, and you should be too unless you’ve got someplace else to live… Yah, we didn’t think so.

7 Ladder Safety Tips

At some point in your life, you or someone you know will fall victim to some sort of an accident involving a latter.  Even though it be tempting to chuckle at the thought of one of your friends missing a step and falling on their butts, the fact is that ladders can be pretty dangerous tools to use.  This is why it’s always important to stay alert and be responsible when using a ladder: here are tips that will help you accomplish exactly that.

  1. Always make sure you are wearing the right type of footwear when you are using a ladder.  Never attempt to use a ladder if you are wearing sandals or are barefoot.
  2. Maintain at least three points of contact at all times with the ladder.  Never put yourself in a position where you are trying to balance on one foot.
  3. Even though it’s probably not always possible, it’s best to have a spotter below you whenever you climb on a ladder.  Your spotter can help hold the ladder steady and make sure it doesn’t wobble too much.
  4. Never leave a ladder set up and unattended for any extended period of time.
  5. Always face the ladder when you are climbing up it and down it.  Facing away from the ladder will make your balance a lot less stable.
  6. It’s not a good idea to let young children use ladders even if you are supervising.  The risk of slipping and falling is just too big of a danger for a youngster.
  7. Don’t carry large amounts of tools in your hands when you are climbing a ladder.  It’s best to invest in some sort of a tool belt that can hold all your needed accessories.
