Outdoor

Outdoor mishaps, blunders and eyesores. What happens outdoors…stays on WhooKnoo for a really, really long time.

Indoor

Nothing says tacky like 70’s wallpaper and tourist trap tchotchke’s, and we’re on the prowl for the worst of it.

Baby & Kids

We shudder to think what can befall the youngest among us, but sometimes it’s good for a harmless chuckle at their expense.

Pets & Animals

Loyal and loving, most pets are adults at 2 years of age, but they still can’t open a can of food without our help.

Go Green

We’re all for preserving the planet, and you should be too unless you’ve got someplace else to live… Yah, we didn’t think so.

4 Health Benefits of Blueberries

Whether they were in pancakes, muffins, coffee cake, or just by themselves, you have undoubtedly enjoyed eating blueberries at some point in your life.  What you may not have realized is this: blueberries are not just delicious, they actually have some very substantial health benefits.  What could be better than a sweet and tasty food that is also super good for your health?  Here are 4 reasons to snack on blueberries instead of any other sweet this holiday season.

  1. These amazing berries have the ability to help preserve the health of your vision.  Blueberry extract has been proven to contain very high levels of anthocyanosides.  Through medical studies, these compounds have been proven to effectively slow down the deterioration of an individuals eyesight.
  2. If you follow trends in popular healthy eating and dieting, there’s no way you’ve avoided hearing about the importance and health benefits of antioxidants.  Prepare to have your mind blown – blueberries contain the highest amounts of antioxidants of any other fresh fruit!
  3. For many people, frequent and painful urinary tract infections are just a normal, albeit miserable, part of their normal life.  Luckily for them, blueberries have been proven to help promote proper urinary tract health.  The berries help prevent urinary tract infections by inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria that grows along the inner walls of urinary tracts.
  4. Blueberries also are great for two very important things: aiding in digestion and helping to prevent constipation.  This is because they contain very high levels of not only fiber, but also sodium, copper, and fructose.

For all these reasons, it’s not hard to see why you should decide to munch on a couple handfuls of blueberries every time you need a snack that is not only delicious, but also undeniably nutritious.  Whooknoo?
